What is Global Hack Week: INIT 2023?
INIT is a celebration for the start of the 2023 Hackathon Season! You can expect to complete challenges, hear about BIG community announcements, chat at hacker hangouts, enjoy fun live sessions, build technical projects, and make new memories.
You are in for an adventure featuring workshops, fun mini-events, challenges, panels, and more. These will help you to earn experience points no matter what level of hacking you are at, whether it’s writing your first lines of code or creating a multi-faceted project.

What is a Guild? How can I be a part of it?
One of the best parts of our community is that it allows people to meet and make connections with others, regardless of where you live. guilds are smaller communities within Major League Hacking. Whether you come in with a guild or not, you won’t be hacking alone.
Who organized Global Hack Week?
Global Hack Week is organized by Major League Hacking (MLH). It is our mission to empower hackers worldwide by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Requirements
Your challenge submission must be completed within the submission period.
When relevent, your code must be available in some sort of public repository.
If you're continuing work on an old project, you MUST specify in your Devpost what was worked on 1) before this day of Global Hack Week: INIT 2023 and 2) during this day of Global Hack Week: INIT 2023.

In Day 6, you will add responses to your web application, so it can reply to the text messages you receive.

Explore Hardware
Whether or not you have hardware at home, we want you to explore a hardware hack. Check out an emulator or use hardware you have around your house. Don’t forget to submit on Devpost.
Create an Authentication System
Secure sign-ins are an important part of many hacks. We want you to implement an authentication system into an existing hack or just create the system for future. Show it off on our Devpost.
Explore a Buzzword Topic
Interested in Big Data? Blockchain? Artificial Intelligence? Explore any of these or any other “buzzword.” You can watch tutorials, follow guides, or build projects - it’s totally up to you and as long as you learn something about buzzword topics, it counts! Head to Devpost to tell us about what you learned - the “project” you submit doesn’t need to be code here - it could just be a few paragraphs about what you learned.
Try using Bootstrap
Try incorporating Bootstrap into a website - either one you’ve already created or spin up a new one. Show it to us on the Devpost.
Create a 3D model
Three-Dimensional models are important across many different industries. Use any software to create a model of your choice and model it on our Devpost.

Build & post a game on Replit using Kaboom.js
Kaboom.js is an awesome way to put your JavaScript skills to work on developing Video Games directly in your browser. Replit even has a starter Repl that will help bring your ideas to life in no time at all. Submit on our Devpost.
Instrument Emulator
Create a way for someone to enjoy playing music online. You could create a digital piano, guitar, or any other instrument you enjoy. “Submit to Devpost?” That’s music to our ears.
